- He has expertise in performing general surgeries of hernias (both laparoscopic and open), gallbladder, laparotomies for various causes, cancer surgeries, thyroidectomies, varicose veins, etc.
- He is trained in keyhole/laparoscopic procedures and other procedures involving Laser and Radiofrequency ablation.
- Dr. Saajan completed his MBBS from Government Medical College, Calicut, in 2007, and after this, he completed his MS in General Surgery from Government Medical College, Trivandrum, in 2013.
- He did a Fellowship in Laparoscopic Surgery from World Laparoscopy Hospital, Gurgaon, in 2015 and received the MRCS degree from the Royal College of Surgeons of England in 2019.
- His keen interest in research resulted in the publication of numerous research papers in reputed journals.
