- Children Memorial Health Institute is Poland's largest and most well-equipped Pediatric hospital, established in 1977.
- Using the latest technologies and treatment methods, this hospital performed the first kidney transplant of pediatric patients in Poland and the first combined simultaneous liver, small intestine, duodenum, and pancreas transplants in 1984.
