I am Victor Faustin Eboumbou Tanga. I am from Cameroon.

What kind of problems did you have?

Several months back started having pain in the lower back for which I had to take pain medications. I was suffering from back pain and has difficulty sitting for a long time and walking. Therefore, I wanted to consult a spine specialist to finally get rid of all the discomfort.

How did you choose the hospital for your checkup?

While I was looking for the best hospitals in India, somebody told me about Vaidam Health. I posted a query on their website and received a call back from one of their case managers. She helped me with the list of topmost doctors and their profiles. She also got me hospital opinions and associated quotes.

How was your visit to India arranged?

After I decided to visit Fortis Memorial Heart Institute. The case manager helped me to get the Visa Invitation Letter from the hospital. This made my medical visa application to India easier. Other than this, the accommodation was also arranged by the team as per my preferences. My pickup and drop off from the airport was also arranged by team members. They facilitated my trip very smoothly.

What was your experience at the hospital?

After I arrived in India on 17th September, I was picked up from the airport and my appointment was scheduled with Dr Sandeep Vaishya, the senior spine surgeon at the hospital. He took a detailed medical history and carried out a physical examination. After the reports were out, the doctor suggested me to undergo a surgery called spine fusion. Finally, the surgery took place successfully after which I stayed in the hospital for a week and went back home on 13th October.

My overall visit to India was absolutely fine and comfortable. I have been recovering well since the surgery. India people are warm-hearted and very helpful. Thank you Vaidam for facilitating my entire trip.
