Carele Enganaboye B Epse, a 36-year-old woman from Cameroon, experienced frequent headaches and slow vision loss in her right eye. After getting a checkup in her home country, doctors discovered a brain tumour. Concerned about her health and the limited treatment options available locally, Carele and her family began looking for advanced treatment options abroad.
They learned about Vaidam Health from one of their friends and submitted their query. Vaidam’s team quickly responded and arranged a consultation with one of India’s leading neurosurgeons, Dr. Anandh Balasubramaniam, at Amrita Hospital in Kochi. The team also handled all travel formalities, including visa assistance, airport pickups, accommodation, and hospital appointments.
Carele arrived in India with her husband and was admitted to Amrita Hospital. After a detailed consultation and review of her MRI scans, Dr. Anandh advised a craniotomy to remove the tumour and preserve the vision in her left eye. The surgery was successfully performed and her recovery began soon after.
Sharing his gratitude, Carele’s husband, Mr. Ndekemete Sanjus, said, “We came to Amrita Hospital in India for my wife’s brain tumour surgery. Dr. Anand Balasubramaniam and the entire medical team were excellent. Vaidam Health managed everything smoothly, from hospital formalities to stay arrangements. We are delighted and grateful for the care and support we received.”
Carele spent three weeks in India for her surgery and postoperative care. While she lost vision in her right eye due to the tumour, the timely procedure helped preserve the vision in her left eye and improve her overall health.
We at Vaidam Health are honoured to have been part of Carele’s treatment journey and wish her a strong and healthy future ahead.
