Hamid J, who is 55 years old from Kenya had been suffering from severe knee pain on both sides. Later, he came to know that he had arthritis. The left knee was at stage three and the right knee was at stage one. “ I could not even bend my legs properly”, says Hamid.
Medical Trip to India
Hamid wanted to receive the best and a permanent solution for his excruciating knee pain. While exploring the internet, he goes to know about Vaidam Health. He posted a query on the website of Vaidam Health and soon received a call back from one of the case managers, Heena Mehta.
Choice of the hospital
The case manager asked Hamid to share his reports to send them to some of the best orthopedic hospitals in India. Multiple quotes were received from these hospitals along with the doctor’s opinion. After going through the profiles, Hamid finally decided to visit NK Aggarwal’s Joints and Spine Center, Ludhiana.
The entire following paperwork was assisted by Vaidam. The Visa Invitation Letter was arranged by the case manager. The visa application form was also filled by another team member. Finally, the patient arrived in India on 8th February 2019. The airport pickup and drop off was also arranged by Vaidam. He was received at the airport and taken to the hotel of his preferences by one of the executives of the operations team.
Experience in the hospital
During Hamid’s appointment with Dr. NK Aggarwal, he gave his entire medical history in detail. The doctor listened to him very patiently and asked several questions. This was followed by conducting some clinical examinations and ordering further investigations such as X-ray and MRI. After the reports came back, the doctor surprised him with good news. He was informed that he did not need knee replacement surgery. The pain can be corrected by medical management. The medications were injected into the joints in a few sessions and his pain was relieved.
