Watch how Steven Haplet's medical treatment in India has been:
Steven Haplet from Zimbabwe suffered from a spine problem for quite a few years that had almost made him wheel chair bound. Even after two surgeries there was no result. Dismayed and confused he looked for treatment and arrived in India giving it a last shot.
What problem did you have in your spine?
My initial problem started in 2010. I suffered from back pain so I underwent a laminectomy in my lumbar spine in Australia. But a few days after I returned to Zimbabwe, I found that the problem was still there. My condition was so worsened that I was almost wheelchair bound. Then I had to undergo another treatment in Harare where a spinal fusion was performed in the affected area of my spine. But there were still no positive results. I couldn’t carry on with my daily work and was completely dependent on painkillers.
How did you decide to come to India for your treatment?
I came across Vaidam Health over the internet and thought to just casually enquire and see what happens. But I got a reply from Dr.Amaroop and thereafter talked to her regarding my treatment. I made sure that I made the right choice this time and so I did my own research and even talked to some other people regarding my treatment in India and got a positive feedback.
How was your treatment in India?
In India I went to Artemis Hospital for my treatment. After a fresh MRI scan, brain scans and some other tests, Dr. Rajesh Kumar Verma at the hospital said that there were three big disc prolapses in my cervical spine whose condition was even worse than my lumbar spine. I was shocked and scared at the same time. I had to undergo 2-3 spine procedures that included corpectomy, disc replacement and spinal fusion. But Dr. Verma and his team have done a fabulous job. I am very grateful to them. It is because of them that I am completely fit now and I could walk in just two days post surgery.
How was Vaidam Health‘s services?
I am thoroughly grateful to Vaidam Health. They are the best. It is because of them that I could find the right doctor and hospital for my treatment. They are very prompt with their services. I didn’t have to wait for anything, everything was well arranged and planned. Vaidam’s patient manager, was already there at the airport. He even accompanied me to the hospital during my treatment, took care of the hospital bills and provided me with a nice accommodation. In the whole medical trip, they were very supportive and amicable.
