Infertility treatment can be a long and stressful journey. After almost a week in India, 30-year-old Bihito shares her story with Vaidam. Bihito recalls, “I tried to conceive naturally for more than three years. After two miscarriages, I came to India for another try at conception. Unfortunately, I didn’t succeed, this has made me extremely sad, but I feel determined that I will have success this time.”
During this time Bihito visited her gynecologist in Tanzania multiple times to get a clear diagnosis of her problem. “My doctor tested my hormones and said that the pregnancy was what they called a ‘partial pregnancy’—meaning that the fetus did not fully develop.” After the first attempt, Bihito decided to give it another go, “We tried again after that and after about six unsuccessful months, my doctor gave me fertility medication. Unfortunately, I had a second miscarriage”.
After multiple failed attempts her doctor suggested to get a specialist opinion. “My doctor told me I should get a full gyno check up to figure out what was wrong with me. He suggested I try India because of the quality of Healthcare found there.” After searching online for multiple options, Bihito found Vaidam.com. “After reading the success stories of so many parents, we were certain that we had to reach out to Vaidam”.

Arriving in India on the 15th of July, Bihito made her way to the hospital. “The first thing that hits you when you show up for your first appointment is the friendliness and approachability of the staff. We met Dr. Suneeta Mittal was very friendly from the starting. She indicated that, based on my history, that options were limited. She told me I needed to have my hormones tested.” Bihito’s test results showed that her hormone levels were too low to opt for fertility treatment.
Considering their chances Bihito was explained that she needed to weigh-in her options carefully. Bihito recalls, “It took a while to adjust to the idea, but I warmed up to it after consideration”.
“I’ve had to undergo a lot of tests: EKG, blood tests and a hysterosalpingogram. There are also medications and injections that need to be taken. But overall I am happy with my prognosis and the treatment plan laid out by Dr. Mittal who is one of the best gynecologists in India,” reports Bihito.
“We are now ready to return to Tanzania, but I am extremely happy with the way things have gone.” Dr. Mittal prescribed medication that Bihito will be taking over the next few months. Fortunately, all-in-all, Bihito’s prospects for conceiving a child are looking positive.
