Living with chronic back pain for 10 years had become a part of daily life for Asleem Khan, a 45-year-old man from Fiji. Over time, his condition kept getting worse, making it hard for him to move around or do daily tasks. He tried several treatments back home, but nothing gave him lasting relief.

The turning point came when his son saw an advertisement about an OPD camp by Vaidam Health being held in Fiji. Hoping to find a solution, he attended the camp and consulted Dr. Bibhendu Mohapatra, who advised advanced spine surgery for his condition.

For further treatment, Asleem had to travel to India, and Vaidam’s team took care of everything, from helping with the medical visa and travel arrangements to organising his accommodation and hospital appointments.

He travelled to India with his wife. Upon arrival in India, Asleem was admitted to the Indian Spinal Injury Centre in Delhi, where Dr. Bibhendu Mohapatra performed the TLIF surgery. The surgery was successful, and he began walking pain-free after five days.

He stayed in India for three weeks, focusing on recovery and rehabilitation under expert medical care.
