• He completed his MBBS from Maulana Azad Medical College in 1973, MD in General Medicine from the University of Delhi in 1977, and DM in Cardiology from the University of Delhi in 1981.

Trained a large number of doctors in the field of interventional cardiology by performing Live Demonstrations in several teaching courses, in India as well as overseas.
Dr. Gambhir has delivered more than 300 guests lectures and invited to deliver 40 orations in National Meetings and Conferences since 1985.
Dr. Gambhir was the first Indian cardiologist to develop a drug-coated stent in 2002, in collaboration with a group of clinical scientists from India.
His monthly column in ‘SAMVAD’ - a community news magazine with circulation of more than one lac, has earned him great admiration from the citizens of Noida and Delhi
