Mini arm lift is the surgical procedure which is used for reducing the excess sagging skin of the upper arm, this surgery tightens and smoothens the underlying tissue which define the shape of the upper arm.

Both the arm lift and mini arm lift will successfully remove excess skin from the underside of the upper arm. However, the mini arm lift will remove a smaller amount of excess skin. Because the arm lift is removing more skin and fat, you will have a scar running from the elbow to the armpit. The mini arm lift will only have a scar under the armpit, so it will be far less visible.
This procedure is ideal for those patients who have lost excess fat because of weight loss and loss of elasticity of skin. This procedures reduces sagginess of the skin of the upper arm region and tightens and smoothens the underlying supportive tissue.

In mini arm lift procedure anaesthesia is being given and a small incision is being made in armpit region and the extra skin and fat is removed by liposuction and then incision is closed.
The amount of skin removed during the procedure is determined by the amount of skin which is present. In some cases a large amount of skin is being taken out from the armpit to elbow, when you pinch loose skin the extra skin comes is the fat which is needed to be removed. If too much skin is needed to be removed it will create too much pressure in incision which result in separation of skin edges.
In the beginning small incisions are being made to infiltrate some amount of local anaesthesia which reduces pain after surgery and epinephrine reduces blood loss and bruising. Even though pills are given patient recover from pain in just few days after the procedure.
It takes around two weeks to recover from mini arm lift.
Some swelling and bruising is normally seen at the incision site if required you can take some pain medications for managing discomfort. Within few days you can do your normal activities but you have to avoid strenuous activity for about one month after the procedure the scar will be slightly visible but fade with time.
