Dr. Walid Faraj is a well-known General Surgeon with more than 25 years of experience.
He specialises in treating problems in the gallbladder and bile duct, hernia, pancreatitis, liver cirrhosis, fatty liver, and cancers of the liver and pancreas.
Dr. Walid is skilled in skin lesion excision, breast surgery (including mastectomy and lumpectomy), and HPB surgery with minimally invasive, laparoscopic, and robotic surgery.
He completed his Bachelor of Science (Biology) from the American University of Beirut in 1993 and MBBS from the University of Jordan in 1999.
Dr. Walid pursued a Diploma (General Surgery) and a Fellowship (Liver Transplant and Hepatopancreatobiliary Surgery) in 2009.
Afterwards, he pursued a Fellowship at the Royal College of Surgeons (FRCS) in 2014 and a certificate in robotic surgery.
He has authored more than 100 peer-reviewed publications in various journals.
Dr. Walid is a fellow of the American College of Surgeons (FACS) and a member of its International Relations Committee.
He has been a representative of Lebanon in the Arab Board of Surgery since 2010.
