When the patient stays in the hospital, any medicines prescribed by the doctor are part of the package. However, medications bought outside the hospital after discharge are not included in the package.

You may need to stay 1 - 4 days at the hospital after the treatment. You should schedule an appointment a week or two after the treatment. Your doctor will also check your incision site for signs of infections or other complications.  

Physical therapy is needed after the treatment to resume your daily routine. NSAIDs are prescribed for pain relief. The medicines and physical therapy are not covered in the package.

With health insurance, minimally invasive procedures like discectomy, the common procedure for treating slipped discs, are generally covered.

You can go for manual therapy and exercise or with IDD Therapy disc treatment. The majority of slipped discs can be cured without surgery.
